Driver Installation/Update/Removal Procedure For IDT High Definition Audio Codec:
=================================================================================

Setup Driver at the first time:
---------------------------------------


Windows 2000 , XP :
Step 1. Run the setup.exe program to start the installation. 
  
Step 2. Click on [Next] to continue the procedure. If the Windows popup 
        "Digital Signature Not Found" message, press [Yes] to continue the 
        installation.
        
Step 3. Finally, press [Finish] to complete the installation.[Need not restart system]         


Windows Vista, Windows7 :
Step 1. Run the setup.exe program to start the installation. 
  
Step 2. Click on [Run] to continue installation, if the Windows popup 
	"Security Warning".	
        
Step 3. Click on [Next] to continue the procedure. If the Windows popup 
        "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software" message, 
        press "Install this driver software anyway" to continue the installation.

Step 4. Finally, select to restart the system and press [Finish] to complete
        the installation.

Update Driver through setup.exe:

Windows 2000, XP:
Step 1. Follow Step 1,2,3 described in [Setup at first time] above to complete
        the procedure.


Windows Vista, Windows7:
Step 1. Follow Step 1,2,3,4 described in [Setup at first time] above to complete
        the procedure.

Update Driver in Device Manager:
---------------------------------------
A: Driver location update (include inf)

Windows 2000, XP:
Step 1. Open Device Manager, right click "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC", select "Update 
	Driver Software..."
Step 2. Select "Install from a list or special location(Advanced)", then click Next button
Step 3. Select "search for the best driver in these location", and check "Include this location 
	in the search", then input winxp folder location in text box. Click Next button.


Windows Vista, Windows7:
Step 1. Open Device Manager, right click "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC", select "Update 
	Driver Software..."
Step 2. Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
Step 3.	Input vista folder location in "Search for driver software in this location" text box,
	and check "Include subfolders" checkbox, then click Next button.

B: Driver INF update (point to the inf)
Windows 2000, XP:
Step 1. Open Device Manager, right click "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC", select "Update 
	Driver Software..."
Step 2. Select "Install from a list or special location(Advanced)", then click Next button
Step 3. Select "Don't search, I will choose te driver to install", then "Have Disk...", then Browse the 
        driver package on the Hard drive->wdm folder->find the INF file of the driver


Windows Vista, Windows7:
Step 1. Open Device Manager, right click "IDT High Definition Audio CODEC", select "Update 
	Driver Software..."
Step 2. Select "Install from a list or special location(Advanced)", then click Next button
Step 3. Select "Don't search, I will choose te driver to install", then "Have Disk...", then Browse the 
        driver package on the Hard drive->wdm folder->find the INF file of the driver

Remove Driver:

Windows 2000 , XP :
Step 1. Go to Start\Settings\Control Panel.

Step 2. Select [Add/Remove Programs] icon.

Step 3. Select "IDT Audio" and press [Change/Remove] button.

Step 4. Click on [OK] to start the uninstallation.        

Step 5. At the end of the procedure, press
        [Finish] to complete the uninstallation.


Windows Vista, Windows7 :
Step 1. Go to Start\Settings\Control Panel.

Step 2. Select [Programs and Features] icon.

Step 3. Select "IDT Audio" and press [uninstall] button or double click "IDT Audio".

Step 4. Click on [OK] to start the uninstallation.        

Step 5. At the end of the procedure, press
        [Finish] to complete the uninstallation.

Silent Installation with log file command:
---------------------------------------

Run "Setup.exe /s /f2<path\LogFile>" 
i.e. setup.exe /s /f2c:\mylogfile.log

Silent Uninstallation with log file command:

Run "Setup.exe /remove /s /f2<path\LogFile>" 
i.e. setup.exe /remove /s /f2c:\mylogfile.log

Playback/Record/Input monitor User Guide:
---------------------------------------
XP:
A: Playback:
IDT GUI:
1. Install the driver successfully
2. Playback any audio file, sound will output from speaker connected
3. If use 4/5.1 speakers, please set up speaker mode to quad/5.1 before playing (IDT GUI->Jack setup page)

MS GUI:
1. Install the driver successfully
2. Playback any audio file, sound will output from speaker connected
3. If use 4/5.1 speakers, please set up speaker mode to quad/5.1 before playing (right click the speaker->
   adjust audio properties->speaker settings)

Note: 1.It is better to set input monitor off (default setting) before setting up quad/5.1 speaker mode.


B: Record:
IDT GUI:
1. Install the driver successfully
2. Plug in any record device (mic/line in), make sure it is the default record device before recording
(IDT GUI->levels page->recording control)

MS GUI:
1. Install the driver successfully
2. Plug in any record device (mic/line in), make sure it is the default record device before recording
(Right click the speaker->open volume control->options->properties->click recording)


C: Input monitor

IDT GUI:
1. Open IDT control panel from system tray
2. Open the input controller (un-mute input monitor controller, default setting is mute) under the playback group

MS GUI:
1. Right click the speaker on the system tray
2. Open the volume control->options->properties->check on the input monitor controller in the list->un-mute the input 
   monitor (default setting is mute)


Vista:
A: Playback:
IDT GUI:
1. Install the driver successfully
2. Playback any audio file, sound will output from speaker connected
3. If use 4/5.1 speakers, please set up speaker mode to quad/5.1 before playing (IDT GUI->Playback->Setup)

MS GUI:
1. Install the driver successfully
2. Playback any audio file, sound will output from speaker connected
3. If use 4/5.1 speakers, please set up speaker mode to quad/5.1 before playing (right click the speaker->playback
   devices->speakers->configure)

B: Record:
IDT GUI:
1. Install the driver successfully
2. Plug in any record device (mic/line in),make sure it is the default record device before recording(IDT GUI->volume 
   page or advanced page)

MS GUI:
1. Install the driver successfully
2. Plug in any record device (mic/line in),make sure it is the default record device before recording(right click the
    speaker->recording devices)


C: Input monitor
IDT GUI:
1. Open IDT control panel from system tray
2. Plug in the record device, open the input monitor function as bellow:
3. Volume page: un-mute the record device's playback function
  Advanced page: go to recording tab, un-mute the playback of the plugged record device
Note:2 or 3 record device maybe share 1 ADC, just the device which occupies the ADC will support input monitor function, 
     on the IDT GUI, will gray the playback slider if the device un-occupy the ADC
And light the playback slider which is occupy the ADC
     The condition of the playback function of the record device(input monitor)can be open is: occupy the ADC+Device plug in 


MS GUI:
1. Right click the speaker on the system tray->Playback devices->double click the speakers (open the speaker's properties)->
   input monitor tab there is "enable" option to open/close the input monitor function

Note: 2 or 3 record device maybe share 1 ADC, there will be "device un-plugged", "available", "device un-available", 
      "running" status for the record device
    The condition of the playback function of the record device (input monitor)can be enable is: occupy the ADC +Device plug in
